BLT French Toast Sandwich & Spicy Aioli

 

BLT with Egg and Spicy Aioli

1 - Savory French toast recipe, this one works well with brioche or sourdough bread. see recipe below

3 slices cooked bacon

2 slices tomato

1 fried egg

Fresh Arugula

Spicy Aioli

 

Spicy Aioli recipe

 2 TB mayonnaise

¾ tsp Sriracha hot sauce

squeeze lemon juice

pinch of Salt

dash of ground black pepper

1 Combine all ingredients, stir to combine. 

 For French Toast

 2 slices bread, I prefer Brioche or Challah sliced ½” thick

2 eggs

1 TB milk

Large pinch Salt

 

1 In a large shallow bowl whisk together eggs, milk, and salt.

2 Soak slices of bread into egg mixture for about 30-45 seconds on each side. 

3 Melt 1 TB butter in large skillet over medium heat. Once butter is melted and bubbling place two bread slices into pan. Cook for appx. 4 minutes or until golden dark brown. Flip and cook the other side. 

4 Repeat with last two slices. 

To assemble:

Cook French toast, once prepared spread a generous layer of Aioli on one slice of toast, add arugula, tomato, egg, bacon, French toast. Enjoy’
